Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party was published amidst one of Chinese Communist Party’s most brutal persecution—against the 100 million practitioners of Falun Gong in China. When loved ones and witnesses see innocent meditators behind bars, tortured, and harvested for their organs, it is hard to stand on the sideline. That is why so many Chinese people and those sympathetic to the cause are doing one thing they know they can do: Spread the word, quit the Party.
“The CCP is responsible for the deaths of 60 million to 80 million Chinese people. This number exceeds the total number of casualties in both World Wars combined. … By understanding the true history of the Chinese Communist Party, we can help prevent such tragedies from ever recurring.
— Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party
The Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party were first published November 2004 in Chinese by the New York-based Epoch Times. This series, which detail the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) propaganda, persecution, famine, massacre, tyranny, and censorship over half a century, have led more than 170 million Chinese to renounce the communist party and its affiliated organizations, fostering an unprecedented peaceful movement for transformation and change in China.
More than a decade after the fall of the former Soviet Union and the Eastern European communist regimes, the international communist movement has been spurned worldwide. The demise of the CCP is only a matter of time.
Over the past decade, volunteers have translated the book into over 30 languages to allow more people in the world to understand and support the movement.
